Crested Gecko’s

Introduction

Crested Geckos are a great reptile for your beginner intermediate keeper. They are not like leopard geckos as they require humidity and places to climb. They stay a lot smaller then some of your other geckos. The one thing that we find really cool about these lizards is they can climb anything. They will climb up the glass screen even a wall when they are outside of there tank. They also are really great jumpers, there legs act like wings and help them glide.

Leopard Gecko’s

Introduction

Leopard geckos (Eublepharis macularius) are one of the fastest growing species to keep in this hobby today. They are from Pakistan, northern India, Afghanistan, and parts of Iran. They are a nocturnal desert species that don’t get very big at all, usually around 8 inches for males and 6 inches for females. This species is ok for a beginner hobbyist if they don’t mind not being able to handle the lizard a lot. The down side on these geckos is that they can drop their tails fairly easy and will only grow back enough to close the wound.

Bearded Dragon’s

Introduction

Bearded dragons are almost any pet store, breeder, or fellow herpers’ top choice for a starter lizard. They have one of the best personalities I have seen. No two are a like when it comes down to the way the act. They are a fairly small to medium size lizard. You should not have to worry about a lizard growing to 5 feet at all. Chinese Water Dragon’s

Introduction

Chinese water dragons also known as the green water dragon or asian water dragon are a great advanced lizard to start with. They have a life span of about 30 years with good health. The longest recorded was about 17 years. They have some really high requirements; such as high humidity, mid-range temperatures, and tank size. Green water dragons range from a price of $15.00 all the way to $100.00. Always make sure when buying your dragon that it is active alert and healthy.
